The Manhattan Beach Middle School Vocal Music program, under the direction of Heather Gold, consists of five elective choirs: The Mermaid Chorus (beginning girls), the Neptune Chorus (beginning guys), the Seaside Chorale (7th and 8th grade guys and girls), the Senior Wave Chorale (7th and 8th grade guys and girls), and the Madrigal Singers.

All of these choirs meet on a daily basis, except the Madrigal Singers which meets after school on Monday and Wednesday. All Madrigal Singers must audition, and must also be part of one of the choirs that meet during the school day. Additionally, the Manhattan Beach Vocal Music program includes a Musical Theater Class for students in the eighth grade, who are part of one of the MBMS choirs. Musical Theater meets Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday after school.
